Guitar Hero and the Hosts

Although still technically unsigned, The Hosts are fast building an impressive fanbase and have been featured several times on Steve Lamacq's 6 Music show.

The band hail from Sheffield and released their first single 'Wake Up', in May '08. The band got together after a bizarre chainsaw incident lead to the roof of their (now) keyboard player's studio, collapsing in on a band rehearsing below. The guitarist Shippers was partially crushed by falling timber and whilst pinned to the ground for several hours, joked with emergency services that he was going to join the band upstairs as they had proved they could take the roof off. Singer Tom Hogg and Bass player Bailey visited Shippers in hospital and a friendship soon formed over a love of Carling, snuff and Jon Spencers Blues Explosion and The Walkmen.

The band has worked many times with Richard Hawley and have toured with him, Cherry Ghost and Sons and Daughters.
